What To Expect Your First Appointment

I’m so excited for you! I’ve worked with hundreds of folks who come in for the first time, its normal to be a little apprehensive of the unknown. The benefits are so worth having the new experience and getting out of your comfort zone.

The way I do things is we sit and talk about whats going on for you, take some notes and ask questions. I’ll take your pulse, look at your tongue and take blood pressure, we also might do some other tests relevant to your main complaints. Payment can be taken before the treatment if you’d like, sometimes after acupuncture you feel very relaxed and some people like to float out the door.

For the actual treatment, I’ll leave the room and have you take certain items of clothing off (depending what were working on) get on the table either face up or down (I’ll give lots of direction).

The needles will be inserted and you’ll rest for about 20 minutes. I will be checking in on you periodically.

When the time is up I’ll remove the needles and send you on your way. Patients report feeling very relaxed, and calm afterwards, sometimes with a decrease in pain levels and lighter mood. Some patients report their smart watches registered a nap even if they know they didn’t sleep!

We can get you rebooked, take payment, answer any questions, fill herbs etc. during this time.
